Kelly and Dan are true New Yorkers – they built their life in the city and wouldn’t have it any other way. But on a perfect 70 degree summer Friday, they brought all of their favorite people down to the Cape for a wedding that felt exactly like them: easy, joyful, and full of good food and even better company.
Their day unfolded at the Popponesset Inn in Mashpee, one of Cape Cod’s most beloved waterfront venues. Before the ceremony, they shared a quiet moment on the beach reading letters to each other before turning around for their first look.
Kelly carried something old, something new, something blue, and something borrowed – her grandmother’s earrings, a new necklace from Dan, her mother’s blue sapphire ring, and a diamond bracelet from Dan’s mom. The ceremony was short and sweet, just as they wanted, and the rest of the night was all dancing, cupcakes stamped with their signature catchphrase, and late-night french fries.
Kelly and Dan brought every bit of their New York love story to the shores of Cape Cod, and it was absolutely worth the drive.
