A Popponesset Inn wedding on Cape Cod

Kelly & Dan are true New Yorkers, and very much in love with the city where they built their life together. Kelly is the master of NYC sunset skyline photos, and Dan is the head chef of their kitchen. They love taking long walks on the river, sharing drinks at the pier at happy hour, jetting off to new places (especially if they’re in Europe or involve a beach / pool) and good old Netflix marathons on their couch at home. Dan proposed underneath the Staple Street bridge in Manhattan, where they returned for their engagement photos last summer!

On a perfect 70 degree summer Friday, Kelly & Dan took happy hour to a new level with all their family and friends gathered at the Popponesset Inn in Mashpee on Cape Cod. Kelly wore her grandmother’s earrings, a new necklace from Dan, her mother’s blue sapphire ring, and borrowed a diamond bracelet from Dan’s mom. They read letters to each other back to back on the beach right before they turned around to see each other for their first look. Their ceremony was short and sweet just as they wanted it to be, then spent the night eating cupcakes (with their adorable catchphrase Mc2 on them - McDonough x McNichol), dancing with their besties, and grabbing late night bites of french fries!

A summer Kernwood Country Club wedding

It all started in English class, freshman year of high school... Natalie & Alex are that special kind of couple that are destined to be together. After dating through high school, weathering long distance through college, graduating together at Salem State, and moving in together 10 years ago, these two have been at each other's sides practically forever. After proposing on a beach with his Great Aunt's ring (to Natalie's response of "Holy shit!"), they started planning their dream wedding in their beloved town of Salem. Through storms and sunny days, dozens of half priced burger nights, road trips to Maine, star gazing, and one very spoiled cat later... we have a 17 year love story: and finally presenting, the new Mr. & Mrs. Poverchuk! Congratulations you two, #itsaboutchukingtime!

A dino-themed Boston Museum of Science Wedding

"Come let me love you, let me give my life to you."

Alia and Austin descended down the escalator to the lower level of the Blue Wing, stealing a kiss while their guests cheered them on. This was their first entrance as husband and wife. They took to the dance floor, as their bridal party looked on with joy in their eyes. Alia’s grandfather nervously picked up the microphone. He looked over to his daughter, Alia’s mother, for reassurance. She reached over and pulled a guitar from the case by her feet. Alia’s mother began to strum, as Alia’s grandfather began to sing: “You fill up my senses, like a night in a forest, like the mountains in springtime, like a walk in the rain…”

Alia and Austin interlocked their fingers, pulling each other close. They slowly swayed, as their family serenaded them to John Denver’s “Annie’s Song.” The room was silent, listening to the duo, with the exception of a few sniffles here and there. As the song ended, her grandfather gave her two thumbs up, as she ran over to give him the biggest hug. “You did great Papa - you did great.”

Alia and Austin managed to incorporate dinosaurs in every part of their day, whether it was walking down the aisle to the Jurassic Park theme song, to literally strutting around in dinosaur heels all day. Oh, and who can forget their kissing dino cake topper, or more importantly: the dinosaurs that beat extinction and joined the party? They poured themselves into each detail of the day, and enjoyed every last minute of it (and every last bite of their chocolate peanut butter cake).

To road trips, to ups and downs, to love, to snuggles, to MARRIAGE.

A Cambodian Stevens Estate wedding in Andover, MA

This Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill wedding will have you blushing...

On a hot, sunny June day, Somaly & Samnang (lovingly known as Maly & Nang) celebrated their first ever moments as husband and wife. As she recalled the first time they met during the ceremony, Maly began to cry. The pair has known each other for over 15 years, shared Long Island iced teas in clubs all over the world, got engaged on a beach in Bali, had a beautiful daughter Abzelle (quote from the bride: "She's the best thing ever"), and are so excited to spend the rest of their lives together.

They mixed American and Cambodian traditions, having a single-day wedding at a nontraditional venue, The Stevens Estate in Andover, MA. They had an American ceremony, then Somaly changed into a traditional Khmer bridal dress to collect envelopes full of money from their guests. From their doughnut bar, to the guests' talents in breakdancing and c-walking, to the hundreds of family members traveling from near and far to celebrate, last night was a night they will never forget!

Maly & Nang - your wedding was such an incredible experience full of SO many laughs and even more love. Abby is the luckiest girl to have you both as her parents - congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kong! You're the!

A whimsical Lighthouse Point Carousel wedding in East Haven, CT

Chrissy & Nick: lovers of Italian food, curling up on the couch to watch anything from scary movies to cooking shows, camping, and most of all, each other. They met while living in Boston, and we even took their engagement photos on the beach their apartment overlooked. After almost 5 years, Nick popped the question at a Christmas party, and the rest was history.

On one of the hottest Connecticut days in May, Chrissy & Nick tied the knot in front of their family & friends at Lighthouse Point in East Haven. Wearing her great grandma Clara’s bracelet and her grandmother Violet's necklace, Chrissy walked barefoot in the sand down the aisle before her uncle gave her away. Guests rode the magical carousel, danced to the setting sun, ate wood fired pizza from a pizza truck, and danced the night away. Their carnival celebration wouldn’t be complete without some late night cotton candy and favor bags filled with rock candy and salt water taffy.

Chrissy & Nick, you both are so special to me - I wish you decades of happiness, silliness, laughter, and love.

Thank you so much to all the amazing vendors!

A spring, oceanside elopement in New England

Emma & Greg's oceanside wedding in South Dartmouth was one of the most unique days I've ever had the honor of photographing. On this misty, rainy day, Emma got ready in the colorful church daycare with her mother, father, and brother by her side. She slipped on her stunning BHLDN dress and glittery pair of Bagdley Mischka's before heading downstairs to the ceremony. Greg's family joined Emma's family in the pews, and in front of all eleven guests, they shared their vows and made their marriage official.

A few raindrops came down as Emma & Greg walked down the dock to the waterfront. They kissed, hugged, and laughed before heading to dinner with their families. They're traveling to Korea in May for a traditional ceremony overseas. Wishing this sweet couple all the love and happiness in their marriage <3

An autumn historic Pierce House wedding in Lincoln, MA

“When the root is strong, the fruit is sweet.” - Bob Marley

Katie & Roger: football fanatics, adventurers abroad, and four-legged parents,  sprinkled with the perfect amount of humor and sass. Well, maybe that’s just Katie, but Roger has his moments, too. On a misty October Sunday at Pierce House in Lincoln, Katie anxiously awaited her ceremony upstairs. She wore a St. Michael charm with a Winnie-the-Pooh quote inscribed on the back in honor of her father. She included bright, tropical flowers in her rich autumn bouquet, a nod to Roger’s Jamaican roots. And speaking of Roger, he made the ceremony arch with his own two hands!

Their families stood close by as they said their vows and shared their first kiss. With fall being their favorite season, they made sure not to skip any fabulous fall details - pumpkins, hot apple cider, gold glitter, romantic roses, and even Tom Brady’s head on a stick for the photo booth (it is football season, after all). They TORE up the dance floor like nothing I’ve ever seen before! Katie & Roger ended the night with an epic smore’s bar and a choreographed dance - and off to Belize they went!

A fairytale Nanina's In The Park wedding in New Jersey

"You're the only one, the only one who gets me good - who knows me like nobody ever could, who holds me strong, who puts me back together when it all goes wrong"

I have never seen a couple so excited for their wedding like Adam & Amanda. After meeting at Lafayette College five years ago, they clicked. Adam & Amanda's love grew as they reached for their dreams, bought a house, and became the proud parents of a pup named Toby - all done together, hand in hand.

Amanda wore her grandmother's necklace and wrapped a piece of her grandmother's dress around her sprawling bouquet. I would imagine that Nanina's In The Park is where all the Disney Princesses got married - because it's a pinnacle of elegance & grace! Chandeliers, fireplaces, antique furnishings, marble staircases, balconies, and the most exquisite ceremony space I've laid eyes on. Amanda & Adam got ready with all their best friends, and before they proceeded with their ceremony, the couple calmed some of their nerves by talking to each other through the bridal suite doors. They read their own vows (out of adorable personalized notebooks), tied the knot, and threw an epic party! Champagne, thirty different kinds of dessert, live music, games, and some hilarious speeches filled the afternoon.

Amanda & Adam planned the wedding of their dreams - and got everything they could have imagined and more! Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Grey!

A rustic, autumn Harrington Farm wedding in Princeton, MA

What do mountains, bloody mary's, bonfires, cider donuts, and snowboarding have in common? They're all things that Amanda & Steve love! Oh, and their adorable Husky named Blue! It would only be fitting that I first met the nature-loving, outdoorsy Amanda at a farm where she was working at the time - and I am oh so grateful to call her a friend!

Amanda & Steve's love story began all the way back in high school, where Amanda spotted Steve's great head of hair while skiing at Nashoba Valley. Their families bonded over the years just as much as these lovebirds did, so their wedding was a highly anticipated, exuberant celebration of their love. Amanda wore her mother's lace veil and bracelet, and borrowed Steve's mother's earrings. The red convertible Buick made a big appearance on their day - it has been passed through Steve's family for generations. Amanda used her gift of creativity and wood burned her own signs, hand-made all her centerpieces, and created all her decor for the night. Every detail they planned for their Harrington Farm wedding was an impeccable reflection of who they are.

Steve finally "kissed the bride" before a dark blue storm rolled in, and they danced through the rainy night to all their favorite 80's hits.

An elegant Boston Public Library wedding

A Boston Public Library wedding for the books...

At 5:30pm, the doors to the Boston Public Library reopened for a very special event: Meg & Joe’s wedding. Meg & Joe would land on the more quiet side of the spectrum, and their wedding reflected the elegance of their love without frivolity - because who needs flowers when you have a Renaissance style “palace for the people” built in 1895 and filled with French antique marble?

As dusk fell, beautiful magenta uplighting illuminated the courtyard as their guests settled into their seats. Meg & Joe read their own vows, promising to always support one another and to never jump ahead in their Netflix queue alone. They said, “I do” and joined their guests for a rousing cocktail hour in the courtyard. Dinner was served in the Guastavino Room, with dancing and dessert in the epic mural-covered Abbey Room upstairs. The grandiose European architecture in the library served as the perfect backdrop for these lovers of learning, and the live band serenaded everyone past midnight.

Meg & Joe, may your new life together be filled with adventures to every corner of the globe, lazy Sunday snuggles with your pup, and a lifetime of love and happiness.

A nautical inspired Danversport Yacht Club wedding

"As the ocean is never full of water, so is the heart never full of love."

Jillian & Daniel’s love for each other as deep as the ocean and unwavering as a strong ship at sea. After meeting online years ago, and enlisting the help of her sister to make sure Dan wasn’t a murderer, the two fell for each other quickly and passionately. They survived months of long distance halfway across the country after getting engaged, and were finally and happily reunited before their wedding. They love learning and teaching, holding hands at the beach, and hunting for vintage antiques. Jill loves the classic look of pearls and everything teal, and Dan is a proud papa to his beloved puppy child.

The clouds on their wedding day looked a bit dark and full of rain, yet the rain never came that night. They exchanged rings and vows by the ocean in front of a beautiful, floral covered gazebo in front of their closest friends and family. There wasn’t a straight face in the room during the humorous toasts, and the DJ knew exactly how to keep the party going strong all night. Even 95-year-old Grampie was busting moves on the dance floor. Their two families became one, and the newlyweds couldn’t have been happier before jetting off to their European honeymoon.

To Jill & Dan - you both are an inspiration for how to love, how to be thoughtful, and how to be kind. Wishing you two the best years of your life - every one spent together.

An intimate, oceanside Salisbury Beach wedding

“To be fully seen by somebody, then, and be loved anyhow - this is a human offering that can border on miraculous.”

Andrea & Dan are one of the most amazing couples I’ve ever met. I met the pair at Dan’s sister Stacy & Chris’s wedding last June - they had been dating for four years at the time, and a few months later in November, Dan proposed to Andrea on their first vacation to Disney World!!! *Insert Disney loving squeal here* They love going to the movies, taking trips into Boston to the theater, and leaving Italian restaurants with very full bellies.

They planned to be married at the end of October, but Dan’s father’s brain cancer returned aggressively, so on a Wednesday, Dan called me up and told me they were getting married on that Saturday. Boy, was I glad that I was available. In three days time, Andrea bought a wedding dress, shoes, and jewelry, booked the church and reception at Seaglass Restaurant, got a marriage license and floral bouquets, Dan got his first suit, his sister did Andrea’s makeup, brother-in-law did videography, and the whole family gathered together for a very special and emotional wedding.

Andrea & Dan are so loving, grateful, humble, and put family above everything. Their happiness and optimism radiated on their warm, breezy May wedding day. Their marriage has certainly been blessed, and I wish the both of them the happiest life together. To Andrea, to Dan, and to family.

Jenaya & Sean // An elegant Spring Lanam Club wedding

“The difference between an ordinary marriage and an extraordinary marriage is in giving a little extra every day, as often as possible, for as long as we both shall live.”

Jenaya & Sean - bubbly, funny, fiercely in love. After meeting online a few years ago, Jenaya told her best friend that he was the man she was going to marry. As she says herself, "I knew I was going to marry him when I first met him and we've been a team in an extraordinary relationship ever since..."

Little did she know, Sean would ask her to be his beloved wife. They planned their big wedding, but soon her father became ill. Jenaya put together an intimate wedding in lightning speed with the help of her family to make sure her dad could walk her down the aisle. The pair said "I do" in August 2015. On April 2nd, 2016, they renewed their vows and threw the big party they had originally planned.

Accompanied by their parents, family, and friends from every corner of the world, Jenaya & Sean threw the party of the year in the historic Lanam Club. Love and joy are powerful forces in the world - and even more present in their partnership is laughter. I've never seen a more glowing bride than Jenaya. They danced the night away to every 90's hit.

Thank you SO MUCH to my amazing and always loved second shooter, Anthony Fusco!
