An Irish Boston Public Garden wedding

Elaine & Conor said "I do" in the Public Garden on Friday, but you have to say it like they did, in an adorable Irish accent! These two met EIGHT years ago out dancing, "where we immediately hit it off and got on like a house on fire" 🔥⠀

Conor moved to Boston for work and Elaine is finishing up her residency in Ireland, but that doesn't phase them - they've done distance off and on and know that Skype dates and transatlantic travel is the best cure!

The new Mr. & Mrs. Smyth had a first look (Conor got very emotional!), a sweet Irish ceremony with my dearest JOP Priscilla officiating (and 30 curious onlookers in the park), traveled around Beacon Hill, and ended with a bottle of champagne at the waterfront all before their romantic dinner at Mistral that night!

Thank you to the amazing vendors!

An historic autumn Newburyport, MA wedding

Not many people get to say “I do” twice… except for Andrea & Dan!

Love is overcoming all obstacles, no matter how big or small, and coming out the other end stronger than before. Andrea & Dan embody this truly and completely. This May, the couple learned the heartbreaking news that Dan’s father’s brain cancer had returned. Family is paramount to Andrea & Dan, and they decided to put together a wedding in just three days time, because a wedding without Dan Sr. wouldn't be a wedding at all. With only their immediate family present, they pledged their love to each other with tears in their eyes, and headed to the beach for their husband & wife portraits and dinner. But the party was still on for October 15th! They got ready in the elegant, historic Garrison Inn in Newburyport and gathered at night at Steeple Hall at Mission Oak Grille. All of Andrea & Dan’s friends and family joined them to renew their vows, enjoy a meal together, eat cake, and tear up the dance floor for the #RileyRerun!

Thank you so much to all the amazing vendors!

Claire // Young, Wild & Free

It's my pleasure to introduce: Claire. A blonde haired Kansas gal, photographer and fellow photo major, amazingly sassy girl with a great sense of humor and enough teenage attitude to supplement the both of us.

I'm naming this shoot Young, Wild & Free. That's what I already call my commercial body of work and book, because that's the essence of what comes out of my heart when I shoot with people my own age. This shoot with Miss Claire earns that title as well, and I'm incredibly proud of all of these.

Our drawing teacher had a bouncing baby boy (congrats!) - but instead of canceling class, he got us a substitute. So, we decided not to go to the five hour class for "an extra day to be free and explore your mediums more." Claire and I attended a photography lecture by Jem Southam, here all the way from England (which was fantastic) then headed out the door into the sunshine and paraded around the North End waterfront. Best decision I've ever made. We had a blast, and I got some of the most kickass shots of my life! That's what I call being productive and artistic. Also - if you haven't heard the amazing news that happened yesterday as well, you can find out what it is here!

I love you all so so much.
