A stylish, puppy-filled Christmas tree farm engagement

Stephanie & Ivin love a few things: each other, a good bottle of champagne, skiing, traveling (especially to Chicago, or anywhere warm), cheering on their Boston sports teams, ramen date nights, and above all, their adorable Boxer pup, Django.

Ivin popped the question this October, so the two celebrated their recent engagement winter in true New England style: at the adorable Greenwood Tree Farm in Billerica. They went home with a perfect tree to decorate, AND hot cider & doughnuts.

CONGRATS Steph & Ivin on this amazing chapter!!!

A sunrise Canoe Beach engagement shoot in Nahant, MA

If Haleigh & Adam had to pick a favorite place, they would both say Aruba (and probably at the same time). The white sand beaches, the romance, the crystal blue ocean - it's their favorite thing to do, followed closely, of course, by going out to breakfast together. On Haleigh & Adam’s 8 year anniversary, he surprised her with rose petals, eggs benedict (her favorite), and a diamond ring.

Rewind almost a decade ago to high school, where they started dating as freshmen. As most high school relationships and 16 year olds go, though, they went their separate ways. It wasn’t until college that they reconnected, and have been inseparable ever since. Fate? 100%. Since then, they’re adopted an ADORABLE boxer named Bennett and are planning a laid back, oceanside wedding at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester next year.

A summer Kernwood Country Club wedding

It all started in English class, freshman year of high school... Natalie & Alex are that special kind of couple that are destined to be together. After dating through high school, weathering long distance through college, graduating together at Salem State, and moving in together 10 years ago, these two have been at each other's sides practically forever. After proposing on a beach with his Great Aunt's ring (to Natalie's response of "Holy shit!"), they started planning their dream wedding in their beloved town of Salem. Through storms and sunny days, dozens of half priced burger nights, road trips to Maine, star gazing, and one very spoiled cat later... we have a 17 year love story: and finally presenting, the new Mr. & Mrs. Poverchuk! Congratulations you two, #itsaboutchukingtime!

A festive Christmas tree farm engagement in Littleton, MA

"From the start I just knew I found the home for my heart"

From high school sweethearts at Westford Academy to college graduates from Endicott, Chelsey & Matt have grown to love each other more and more each day over the years. Best friends, lovers, partners in crime. Chelsey shared her favorite memory with Matt, the story of his proposal:

"I walked up winding stairs to our room after an incredible day at the inn we were visiting in Vermont and there was a card on the door. The card was full of loving thoughts and inside was the sticky note I wrote him 5 years ago with a bag of goldfish asking him to senior prom: “Of all the fish in the sea will you go to prom with me? Check yes / no"

Underneath this old note, that I was so shocked that he even saved, he had written, “Out of all the fish in the sea will you be my wife and marry me?" I opened the door and there he was on one knee with that amazing smile."

They're traveling to paradise for an intimate wedding in Key West in 2018 - what a perfect way to kick off their life together!

An autumn historic Pierce House wedding in Lincoln, MA

“When the root is strong, the fruit is sweet.” - Bob Marley

Katie & Roger: football fanatics, adventurers abroad, and four-legged parents,  sprinkled with the perfect amount of humor and sass. Well, maybe that’s just Katie, but Roger has his moments, too. On a misty October Sunday at Pierce House in Lincoln, Katie anxiously awaited her ceremony upstairs. She wore a St. Michael charm with a Winnie-the-Pooh quote inscribed on the back in honor of her father. She included bright, tropical flowers in her rich autumn bouquet, a nod to Roger’s Jamaican roots. And speaking of Roger, he made the ceremony arch with his own two hands!

Their families stood close by as they said their vows and shared their first kiss. With fall being their favorite season, they made sure not to skip any fabulous fall details - pumpkins, hot apple cider, gold glitter, romantic roses, and even Tom Brady’s head on a stick for the photo booth (it is football season, after all). They TORE up the dance floor like nothing I’ve ever seen before! Katie & Roger ended the night with an epic smore’s bar and a choreographed dance - and off to Belize they went!

A summer sunrise Crane Beach engagement in Ipswich, MA

When you think of your favorite high school sweethearts, you immediately have to think of Alexsis & Keith. As Alexsis explained, “We officially met in English class senior year. We went to prom together and then went to separate colleges that fall. Two months into school Keith called me via Skype to tell me that he loved me and wanted to be together. We have never looked back since.”

Keith popped the question at a winery in Ontario, and they have been celebrating every day.

Watching their older siblings get married has them so excited for their own wedding at Crane Estate. Alexsis & Keith knew that they might not have enough time to make it down to Crane Beach (especially in heels and tuxedos), so they opted to have their engagement session at sunrise on the beach instead. Add in some mimosas at 6:30am (sans OJ) and we called that a great morning!

A nautical inspired Danversport Yacht Club wedding

"As the ocean is never full of water, so is the heart never full of love."

Jillian & Daniel’s love for each other as deep as the ocean and unwavering as a strong ship at sea. After meeting online years ago, and enlisting the help of her sister to make sure Dan wasn’t a murderer, the two fell for each other quickly and passionately. They survived months of long distance halfway across the country after getting engaged, and were finally and happily reunited before their wedding. They love learning and teaching, holding hands at the beach, and hunting for vintage antiques. Jill loves the classic look of pearls and everything teal, and Dan is a proud papa to his beloved puppy child.

The clouds on their wedding day looked a bit dark and full of rain, yet the rain never came that night. They exchanged rings and vows by the ocean in front of a beautiful, floral covered gazebo in front of their closest friends and family. There wasn’t a straight face in the room during the humorous toasts, and the DJ knew exactly how to keep the party going strong all night. Even 95-year-old Grampie was busting moves on the dance floor. Their two families became one, and the newlyweds couldn’t have been happier before jetting off to their European honeymoon.

To Jill & Dan - you both are an inspiration for how to love, how to be thoughtful, and how to be kind. Wishing you two the best years of your life - every one spent together.

Patrick & Dawn // An elegant winter wedding

"True love doesn't happen right away; it's an ever-growing process. It develops after you've gone through many ups and downs, when you've suffered together, cried together, laughed together."

Almost a decade ago, Patrick showed up to Porter Belly’s bar adorned in a giant fake-gold dollar-sign pendant necklace and matching three-finger dollar sign ring. Not to be outdone, Dawn was wearing a maroon t-shirt with the words “Buy me a beer” painstakingly ironed on the back of it.  So Patrick followed the directions, bought Dawn a beer, and the rest, as they say, is history.

After countless Date Night Fridays, walks around the neighborhood, Sunday mornings singing at Church, and family outings with Patrick’s boys, Patrick returned to the scene of the crime years later to surprise her with a diamond ring.

On their November wedding day, the sun was shining, the breeze was kicking up the colored leaves, and excitement was in the air. They hand picked every element of their ceremony mass at their local parish, sealing their love with a kiss many times. Patrick & Dawn kissed in the last hour of beautiful winter light as the wind and sun kissed them back. His sons were his best men, and before dinner, his youngest son gave toast. Yes, a nice, browned piece of toast. Best. Ever.

Two two danced their behinds off at the reception, laughed with all their family and friends, and cried a bit, to. Here’s to years and years of happiness and love to this very special couple. Patrick & Dawn, I raise a shirley temple to you with a million hugs and all the love in the world.

Matt & Melissa // A nature inspired Willowdale Estate wedding

Almost ten years in the making, I introduce to you, Mr. & Mrs. Campbell.

Matt & Melissa are one of my most loved and cherished wedding couples. You really get to know a couple when you shoot their engagement, go out for ice cream, bridal shower, secret video shoot, meetings over lunch... by the time their wedding day FINALLY rolled around, I thought, "Oh! So this is what we were all waiting for? Well gosh!" The two of them are such deep soulmates. They're best friends, always laughing at each other, doing sweet things for each other, and being the best people they can be.

Melissa, her mother and her sister got ready on the second floor of the incredible Willowdale Estate, followed by the boys across the hallway. Lace from her mother's wedding dress was sewn into Melissa's silk dress belt, while she wore her grandmother's ring on her finger. The couple exchanged gifts without seeing each other, until their first look. They exchanged vows with tears from the audience, and sealed it with a kiss and HUGE smiles! They attended their own (gorgeous) cocktail hour, surrounded by vintage boxes and crates and live music. Matt & Melissa entered their reception with a surprise video, followed by Melissa breaking into an epic air guitar dance with her dad, and Matt giving everyone a tear-jerking dance with his sister. They had the most DELICIOUS cupcakes and warm, gooey cookies straight out of a Toll House commercial, fuel for them to dance the night away.

I don't have enough "thank you's" to give to my incredible second shooter Anthony Fusco, and Leslie and the team at Planned Perfectly Weddings & Events. M&M fell in love with Anthony right away, and Leslie and the girls couldn't have made anything more perfect for Matt & Melissa on their special day.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE AMAZING VENDORS!

This was Matt & Melissa's surprise reception video. The summer before their wedding, we met up (in secret!!!) and filmed their introduction video - as they talked about what they're most looking forward to in life, how they met, and read parts of their Dear John letters when Matt was overseas.

Macy & Jordan // An elegant Cambridge wedding

"My heart is ever at your service."

-William Shakespeare

Macy & Jordan are your go-to classic Cambridge couple. This cat loving, food truck loving, laid back pair is certifiably awesome.

Unknowingly attending the same concert in Washington of all places in 2003, their paths crossed officially in 2013 as they shared a cocktail on their first date. At the site of their first kiss, Jordan proposed to Macy and the rest is history! Living in the great city of Cambridge, and with familial ties to Boston as well, it was only natural to be wed at the American Academy of Arts & Sciences, one of the oldest and most prestigious honorary societies in the country (founded by John Adams and John Hancock, of course).

Macy is the 21st, yes 21st woman in her family to wear this veil down the aisle; a family heirloom introduced over 130 years ago in 1882. Delicate, beautiful, and brimming with significance. A predicted stormy day yielded sunshine, and the two vowed to love each other for the rest of their lives in front of all their family and friends. They danced and ate cake (at their Cambridge neighborhood themed tables) and we all were blown away by Macy’s Dad’s stellar dance moves.

I must say, it’s pretty awesome when your bride & groom are connected with you on Facebook, Twitter, AND Instagram… I knew that when I posted a sneak peek, Jordan at least would see it right away. I love staying connected with my couples!

Another shoutout - to my AMAZING second shooter Jenny Watts! She always kills it! Much love and thanks!!!

Wishing the new Mr. & Mrs. Vance a life filled with lots of great cheese, many more marathons, delicious pizza, and a garden full of herbs and love. XOX!

Jess & Chris // A rustic barn wedding

"We love the things we love for what they are."

Jessica & Christopher are really just professional lovebirds.

Chris can make Jess smile so big, her nose scrunches up and she can’t stop giggling. Chris is always there for Jess, on good days or bad, to provide a warm hug or a laugh. On this rainy forecasted Saturday in August, Jess & Chris basked in the sunshine underneath their alter adorned with yellow flowers, confessed their love for each other and vowed to be soulmates for the rest of their lives. They celebrated with their family and friends, and stole kisses and held hands as they danced in the open pasture. Jess made almost every detail and decoration you see in the photographs -what a talented lady! Their rustic barn wedding fit their personality as a couple perfectly, and they (and grandma!) danced the night away. At the end of the night, instead of a sparkler exit, they received an epic lightning storm and pouring rain - a seriously nod from Mother Nature wishing them good luck!

Sweet really is an understatement to describe this couple - and I have no doubt that their marriage will be filled with so much optimism, joy, and love.

Hugs and kisses, Jess & Chris!

Stacy & Chris // A vintage inspired waterfront wedding

"What we have once enjoyed we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us."

I couldn't have been happier kicking off summer 2015 wedding season with Stacy & Chris. This vintage loving, each other loving pair got the wedding of their dreams.

I got out of the car at Cape Ann Marina Resort and drew in a big breath of fresh ocean air. Ahhh, was it fantastic. Who else loves the smell of the ocean? I got upstairs to find the lovely Miss Stacy getting her hair done. Amazing would be a gross understatement of this girl - I can see clearly why Chris is crazy about her. She is sweet times a million, has the biggest, genuine laugh, is ambitious and a dreamer, and above all, I just loved how she would thank everyone and all her vendors all throughout the day. And not a thanks, yup thank you, but she just gave off such an air of gratefulness that it was impossible not to just feel so appreciated and loved on her day! Talk about the best way to start your day.

After exchanging their vows at their local parish, they sealed the deal with (a few!) kisses and a reminder from the ring bearer, "Don't worry ladies, I'm still single."

With massive storm clouds approaching, the definite chance of rain, and the clock ticking before the nonexistent sun completely went away, we drove the 40 minutes back to the marina. I wanted to take them to Wingaersheek Beach to get a little sandy & lovey, but that proved to be impossible. We arrived with 20 minutes left to take pictures of these beauties, and lo and behold we walked to the very corner of the property where there was an old shack with the paint chipping off and a crooked roof, and my was it perfect. We ducked under a fence to this little patch of tall green grass and what looked like an abandoned greenhouse frame overlooking the marshes and water. There was a hairline break in the clouds at 8:05pm, and we got a slice of golden sunshine as it dipped behind the trees and just like that, we were whisked off to the reception.

The food, the cake, the dancing, the lights... the reception was fun and love swirled together, with beautiful little decorative touches handmade by the bride.

Stacy & Chris really just make my heart sing. It was such an honor to be there for them on their big day, and I know these two will share years and years of immense happiness and joy together.
