This Crane Estate wedding was fit for a king and queen! As bride Andrea said, “We are big little kids and are ready to showcase our decade long love the way we know best, with magic, classiness, sassyness and a smidge of silliness.”
A wedding, two boys, an impeccably designed house, and 10 YEARS later… Erin and Matt are going stronger than ever and wanted to celebrate with a vow renewal! Erin and Matt love visiting Crane Estate with their two kids, dressing up for the 1920’s themed roaring lawn parties, and splashing on Crane Beach, so it was an easy decision to have the historic estate that they’re members of as the place they re-commit their love for each other. They wanted to re-create their 2009 wedding day with a modern spin - Erin wore the same dress and jewelry, and even got her flowers from the same incredible florist as a decade ago! Their oldest son “officiated” the ceremony in the Italian Garden, and their parents clapped along and laughed through the vows. Erin and Matt played with the boys on the Grand Allee before heading to the Briar Barn Inn for a celebratory lunch!
You should head over to Erin’s blog to hear about the planning and execution of the vow renewal straight from the bride!
Kelsey & Jeff: best friends, travel buddies, and parents of a fluffy little Portuguese Water Dog named Goose. On a beautiful April day, Kelsey & Jeff visited Castle Hill at Crane Estate, a historic 165 acre property overlooking the ocean and surrounding marshes and rivers of Ipswich. The Great House, a 59-room Stuart-style mansion built in 1928, is furnished with period antiques. The property also boasts Italian gardens and a roaring lawn - which is where Jeffrey got down on one knee and popped the question!
They're planning a destination wedding in the stunning vineyards of Sonoma, California, so it was only fitting that they celebrate their engagement and commemorate their New England life together with a visit to this sentimental spot!
