A Duxbury Beach engagement session

Liz and Dana swiped right 5 years ago, and life has been lit ever since 🔥 These two are obsessed with Duxbury Beach, spending most weekends together driving their Jeep in the sand and watching the sunset beside a crackling bonfire. Dana just became a state trooper and Liz is a registered maternity nurse. They have carrot-loving fluffy baby named Thumper (an adorable bunny) and love hanging at home with her, planning their next adventure, and eating anything involving peanut butter and chocolate.

On a typical Sunday afternoon, Liz and Dana drove onto Duxbury Beach to meet with some friends. Liz was a litttttle bit cranky from not sleeping after a 12 hour shift, and was quietly resenting Dana for not letting her wear sweatpants and a hoodie to the beach (for a strategic reason). When they arrived, Liz wanted to unwind and relax, but Dana kept asking Liz to take a photo together by the water. He took her hand and brought her down to the rocks, where she found a bottle buried in the sand with a note in it. Liz realized it was Dana’s handwriting, he got down on one knee with the biggest smile across his face and tears streaming down his cheeks! So of course, they returned to the spot he proposed for their engagement photos.

They’re so excited to get married at Lakeside Villa in Halifax next summer - CONGRATS!

An autumn engagement at Parlee Farm in Tyngsborough, MA

Colleen & Jimmy met in the 5th grade. They didn't start dating until high school - and Colleen knew that Jimmy loved listening to Mumford & Sons. Naturally, to impress him, she would play Mumford reallll loud in front of him! Almost 8 years later, Jimmy got down on one knee and proposed to Colleen in Boston right before their Mumford & Sons concert! 😭⠀

Colleen is a nurse and Jimmy is a financial analyst, but they've both worked at Parlee Farms for YEARS!!!! It's their happy place!!! Jimmy says that 95% of the apples he eats have been off the tree for less than 45 seconds 🍎 Now that's #goals

AND - I can't not mention that Colleen & Jimmy sent me home with apple cider, fresh strawberries, and cider doughnuts. SO sweet. SO thoughtful!!!! 🍓 They’re getting married next year at The Barn on the Pemi in New Hampshire - we’re so excited!!!

A joyful, fall Beacon Hill engagement in Boston, MA

Aymee and Colin met through a mutual friend. When Aymee arrived at the bar Colin was at, Colin, looking a little disheveled, turned to Aymee and said “I just got into a fight about feminism” to which Aymee replied, “I think I love you.” Weeks later, Colin played “Be My Girlfriend” by NSYNC for Aymee to make it official. Four years later, they hiked on the same mountain where they first said “I love you” to each other, and Colin proposed!

They ran around Beacon Hill, laughing and piggybacking and disrupting the general peace and quiet on a Sunday 😉 Then we went to the Public Garden and ended in Back Bay pretending the historic brownstones were all ours.

An intimate Crane Estate 10 year vow renewal

Crane-Estate-Vow-Renewal-Wedding-16.JPG

A wedding, two boys, an impeccably designed house, and 10 YEARS later… Erin and Matt are going stronger than ever and wanted to celebrate with a vow renewal! Erin and Matt love visiting Crane Estate with their two kids, dressing up for the 1920’s themed roaring lawn parties, and splashing on Crane Beach, so it was an easy decision to have the historic estate that they’re members of as the place they re-commit their love for each other. They wanted to re-create their 2009 wedding day with a modern spin - Erin wore the same dress and jewelry, and even got her flowers from the same incredible florist as a decade ago! Their oldest son “officiated” the ceremony in the Italian Garden, and their parents clapped along and laughed through the vows. Erin and Matt played with the boys on the Grand Allee before heading to the Briar Barn Inn for a celebratory lunch!

You should head over to Erin’s blog to hear about the planning and execution of the vow renewal straight from the bride!

A surprise yacht proposal in Boston Harbor

She said YASSS! ⛵️ This surprise proposal on a yacht in Boston Harbor was simply perfection - scroll down to see the sky on FIRE! 🔥 Now that's what I call a sunset! ⠀
⠀
I know you're all curious HOW it went down... Lainey had no idea of their evening plans, so she was totally surprised! No, I didn't hide below deck waiting for the moment... I "came with the boat" (you know, like photographers at Disney World ready to take your photo when you arrive) and was casually documenting their yacht experience - toasting wine at dinner, smiling sitting on the bow, walking around. #unsuspecting⠀
⠀
Jay put on their special song and asked her to dance, which was our CUE! It was GO TIME!!!! He got down on one knee, asked her to marry him, and it was a big yes! Then we popped a bottle, had the most joyous, silly photo shoot, and even stopped at Lovells Island to run around on the beach at dusk 🥰

Thank you Amanda & Captain Gibson for making this night amazing with Charles Riverboat Company!

A foggy Good Harbor Beach engagement in Gloucester, MA

1-Amanda-Florian-Engagement-097.JPG

Amanda & Florian had Good Harbor Beach all to themselves on this foggy June morning. These two are clearly beach people - they love taking trips to Cape Cod, and they’re tying the knot in Maine by the ocean. Florian is an environmental scientist from Germany, and Amanda is an incredible oil painter. They live in Cambridge together after meeting on Bumble a few years ago, and found out they go together like PB&J.

A Crane Beach engagement in Ipswich, MA

Erika & Charles met in high school over a decade ago on a double date - but not with each other. They went to separate colleges, wishing each other the occasional “Happy Birthday” on Facebook. As fate would have it, though, they met once again as classmates in grad school in Pennsylvania in 2016. They quickly became friends, and took a chance on each other - and they’re so glad they did!

Charles popped the question at Acadia National Park, and they both marvel at the fact that it took them so many miles and so many years to find each other, even though they grew up 15 minutes from each other.

Queue the fireworks; they’re getting married on the Fourth of July at Willowdale Estate this year! But Erika did her research and found the PRETTIEST beach for their engagement photos - Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA, where they absolutely ROCKED their session!

Christina & Wil left their home in Boston for a very colorful winter engagement session at Tower Hill Botanical Garden in Boylston, MA! What do you do when the garden gives you lemons? Pop champagne!

A stylish, puppy-filled Christmas tree farm engagement

Stephanie & Ivin love a few things: each other, a good bottle of champagne, skiing, traveling (especially to Chicago, or anywhere warm), cheering on their Boston sports teams, ramen date nights, and above all, their adorable Boxer pup, Django.

Ivin popped the question this October, so the two celebrated their recent engagement winter in true New England style: at the adorable Greenwood Tree Farm in Billerica. They went home with a perfect tree to decorate, AND hot cider & doughnuts.

CONGRATS Steph & Ivin on this amazing chapter!!!

A quintessential Boston anniversary session

Boston is a very sentimental place… especially for Kate & Emmanuel. This is where their life, their home, and their love story lies.

I had the honor of photographing Kate and E for their first anniversary - lucky in love, married goofballs who jive to classical music (how they met in college - flute and clarinet players!), E’s homemade margaritas, and late night trips to Target.

They hit all their favorite places - Beacon Hill (where they love taking walks) and the Esplanade (where they picnic and listen to live music). Show these cuties some love!

When artists get married... 👫❤️😻 Hillary & Phil's engagement shoot was pure Boston magic - snuggling in bed with their pup Zeus, making espresso, hanging out on their deck in their PJ's, then getting in their Sunday Finest and hitting one of their favorite museums. 🌺

A springtime Boston Public Garden engagement

There's nothing lovelier than spending springtime in Boston with the one you love.

Cassandra & Chris: lovers of hiking, kayaking, and planting their garden together - with their beloved pup, of course! Chris lived in Boston for years before moving to New York with Cassandra, so they decided to road trip back to the city for their urban engagement shoot at the Boston Public Garden!

They practiced their first dance (and learned they may need a little MORE practice), popped a bottle of champagne (even though they love peach-flavored booze better) and smelled the spring blooms before the rain came.

They’re tying the knot in the Berkshires this summer - can’t wait to get the party started!

A sunrise Canoe Beach engagement shoot in Nahant, MA

If Haleigh & Adam had to pick a favorite place, they would both say Aruba (and probably at the same time). The white sand beaches, the romance, the crystal blue ocean - it's their favorite thing to do, followed closely, of course, by going out to breakfast together. On Haleigh & Adam’s 8 year anniversary, he surprised her with rose petals, eggs benedict (her favorite), and a diamond ring.

Rewind almost a decade ago to high school, where they started dating as freshmen. As most high school relationships and 16 year olds go, though, they went their separate ways. It wasn’t until college that they reconnected, and have been inseparable ever since. Fate? 100%. Since then, they’re adopted an ADORABLE boxer named Bennett and are planning a laid back, oceanside wedding at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester next year.
